    • DellProSupportforIT1 – MissionCritical – ServiceDeliveryManager(SDM)
    • Training
  • The project took 11 months to implement
  • For the overall solution, the likely ROI is 11,830,000 Danish kroner after 36 months. The break- even point will be around 18 months.
  • The actual (or likely) cost of the project is 26 million Danish kroner
  • The actual (or projected) savings from the project are
8.5 million Danish kroner (previous infrastructure would have cost approximately DKK 11 million in power over the next five years, whereas the Dell solution will cost approximately DKK 2.5 million). Administrative saving will be approximately 15 million over the next five years. "Over the next five years, including the savings on power and administration costs, we estimate that the TCO of the Dell solution will be 40 per cent less than that of our previous infrastructure."
  • The primary sponsor for the project was the Copenhagen Municipality Shared Service Center Board of Directors, Headed by Managing Director Jan Gundersen. The day to day management of the project was the responsibility of a steering committee appointed by the municipality and Dell.

What was the impact?

  • 190 t CO2e has been saved on this project , over a period of 12 months
  • Notes about Carbon savings/calculations

77 per cent reduction in the municipality's IT carbon footprint.
  • The project has independent verification for results

Making it Happen

  • Barriers experienced during the initiation of the project

  • Other comments regarding barriers preventing the successful completion of the project

The Municipality had for historical reason negotiated very low prices for electricity. Had they been paying normal rates savings would have been significantly highe.
